Green Power is a form of renewable energy which is made up of natural sources including the sun (solar energy), wind, non-stagnant water, plants, waste material which is also referred to as "biomass", and the earth's heat, also known as "geothermal." All of this renewable energy can be used to create electricity.

The sun is a tremendous source of energy to our planet. The earth receives enough solar energy for one year from just one hour of sun. Imagine, as a society, how we can reduce our carbon footprint by utilizing solar power! Not only that, but as more people use solar energy, the less expensive it will become. Due to the inconsistency and instability of fuel and electricity costs, the use of Green Power is a much more reliable source of energy and much more cost effective.

The use of Green power is being utilized in many different capacities in order to create environmentally preferable energy sources; both of which are electric and thermal in nature. Green power significantly reduces the negative consequences on the environment that traditional power generates. Solar produces no greenhouse gasses and does not pollute the environment. Just imagine not having to depend on foreign oil!
